Welcome to the website of K.C. K Athletic Club.
Established in 1991 by a small committee and the local Parish Priest of our areas. We are often asked at events what the letters K.C.K. stands for. Hopefully to silence all the questions here it is. When the club was set-up it spread over 3 areas Kilrossanty, Colligan, Kilgobnet, and the first letter of each parish make up the name of the club. Today the club has members from all parts of the county from Rathgormack, Clonea, Kilmacthomas, Stradbally, Kill, Bonmahon, Lemybrien, Colligan Kilbrien, Dunhill, Fenor, Newtown, Fews, Kilrossanty , Ballyduff, Ballinameela amongst others.
Since its establishment in 1991 the club has gone from strength to strength. From year to year the number of athletes has risen and the numbers of our athletes making nation al and provincial teams continues to soar. Our rankings in all-Ireland cross-country and track and field championships have gone up the ladder, as the reasonably small club climbs nearer to the top every year.
The club caters for all types of athletics; cross country, sprints, jumping, throwing and hurdling, whether your in it for to compete or just to have fun and stay healthy. At the moment the club over 80 members affiliated with AAI.
The club trains in Lemybrien GAA Field every Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6pm. New members are always welcome to attend.
